The previous Bangabazar was a two-story marketplace, one of the most renowned places nationally and internationally. After a fire incident, the market was take downed. DSCC is going to rebuilt the market as a multistory building to keep the existing business with a large modern facility for shoppers.
As this was a square site, the design concept was square form and gave the user as much natural ventilation as possible in the complex. There is an all-through corridor in front of the building for visual connectivity from the road to every floor for shoppers and visitors. There are two triple-height entries from both sides of the road.
